Introduction

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC) established in 1994 with its Head Quarter in Bengaluru, Karnataka aims in making quality assurance, an integral part of the functioning of Higher Education Institutions. It strives for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. The University has established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) during 2003 to promote and monitor the quality of academic and administrative performance of the University and is responsible for preparing Annual Quality Assurance Reports, and arrange for Academic and Administrative Audit of the University through a Committee (AAA) comprised of distinguished academicians from other universities in the light of the vision of NAAC.
